Tourist Things | London

It turns out I'm a tourist more than I thought, this is the third time I've done a post like this, so I've decided it will now be a 'thing'... Well... We'll see.. We all know what happened last time I committed myself to something...

Last week I took a trip to the capital, one of my favourite places in the whole world.

You either love London or you hate it... You can either embrace the rush, the rain, and the thousands and thousands of people, or you can't. I for one, can. Love. I don't know, there's just something about the place that makes me happy, there is nothing too different to anywhere else; same shops, same Starbucks on every street corner, but there is just something that makes me love it... The atmosphere... Something...

I was only there for two days, but oh my did I fit a lot in... and of course I took my camera... I'll let you decide whether or not it was worth it...

I cannot wait to be back there soon! What's your favourite part thing about London? Let me know!

British Tourist Things...

As previously discussed on this blog, I do love being a tourist... Even though I was in fact born and raised in this country, I do love exploring it...

On Thursday we took a trip down to Llandudno, which is a seaside tourist destination... I had been before, but about eight years ago, and so don't remember much due to the fact I was probably complaining about how my feet were hurting or how I needed a drink... My nine year old self would have been surprised to hear that I actually enjoyed these visits in the years to come...

I love being near the sea... I live approximately a 15 minute walk to the nearest shore, and a 10 minute drive to the prettiest one... I can just about see the wind turbines from one of them from my house (living on a hill has it's advantages) Maybe it would have been easier to walk down to the beach from my house rather than driving for an hour and a half to get to a more commercial one... but hey, it was a day out.

My mum used to live in Llandudno, as she went to college there, so we had our own little tour guide, showing us where she used to live, and work, and shop, and drink... It made me wonder about what's coming up in the next year for me... Exciting times...

Thursday was beautiful! Despite me being ill... (yes still) I had a really lovely day, and it was great to see my uncle and cousins who I only see about twice a year due to (very) long distances... The views from the top of the Great Orme were amazing...

Practice Shots | Words

One thing I promised myself I'd do this year, is use my camera a lot more and practice around the house so when I do go out, I'll find it a lot easier to make sense of the lighting situations and which settings will look better where...

So, yesterday I decided to look around my room for letters, numbers and words to photograph... pretty boring I know, but you have to start somewhere right? They're all in black and white because, as many people who know me are aware, I simply prefer black and white photography and my camera setting was already on monochrome so I stuck with it. Here are the shots I got... It's pretty obvious to me that a LOT more practice is needed...

So that was my saturday night... I hope you all had a great weekend and you have a brilliant week!!
